CONGRATULATIONS!

Tonight I spent an hour or so at a very special presentation ceremony, taking photos of recipients of WDC Earthquake Certicates. Certificates were presented to all manner of organisations, mostly volunteer groups, gruops who went above and beyond the call of duty during and after the earthquakes of 4/9/10; 26/12/10; 22/2/11 and 13/6/11.

The fabulous Rangiora Earthquake Express who made nation wide news during this time was award a certificate, as well as many other groups.

Pictured is Del Brooks, who as profiled on the front page of our local Northern Outlook Newspaper on Saturday, sadly this photo of him receiving his certificate didn't get to the paper in time (my slow dialup just didn't cut the mustard for the deadline), a couple of others I took at the wards did make the paper.
