Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2016 Wednesday -- from the Beach Lookout

Several times I have posted photos of the beach lookout, so today when I took the 3 pups for a walk at noon, we went to the lookout. No one else was there, but it was high tide, very high because it's winter.

I took several photos of the ocean and then turned and took a photo of the path.

In this photo our house can just barely be seen. Make the photo bigger and look for the little lavender house to the left of the power pole and beneath the curve in the green branch of the tree. The place looks dwarfed next to all the McMansions, but once we are inside the house looking out, the size of the house does not matter because the view is spectacular. (The upstairs living quarters is 1050 sq. ft. The downstairs quest room and bath and the separate little office room on the other side of the garage add sq. footage).

Above the houses, the cutout in the hillside can be seen where California's Highway #1 was built in about 1962.

The beach lookout is a wonderful spot to see the water; however, the pups prefer being on the sand, but walking on the sand was not going to happen today because of the high tide, so we headed back to the house to see what Mr. Fun was accomplishing in getting the garage cleaned out.

P.S. On a side note, this evening I made portabello mushroom burgers for dinner. We are still maintaining a vegan diet, even though Mr. Fun's doctor prefers that we do a "plant based" diet. The burgers were good. I got the idea back in November when we had dinner with our friends Wally & Jen at Dorn's Restaurant in the coastal community of Morro Bay.
