Railway Centennial Park

Centennial Park in Timaru.
The old railway line through the park which is now used as a walkway
was once used to cart quarried rocks by train, during the period of 1800's to 1975.
The rocks were used to construct the Timaru Harbour Breakwaters.
The basatt Rock resulted from Mt Horrible erupting some
2.5 Million years ago
