"A Winter Sunset"
At the foot of the hill,
the trees have pulled on
boots of shadow. Where,
I ask them, do they think
they’re going “Round
the world,” they answer,
“back by morning.”
Poem written by Ted Kooser
A view of Chesham amid the Chiltern Hills, with St Mary's Church spire on the horizon. Photograph taken from the car park at Waitrose on a brief supermarket run. A busy day at home sorting out a paperwork backlog and doing online research about a legal matter. More of the same still to be done tomorrow.
