Persian Buttercup
Clickychick got this flower among some she needed for a project earlier in the week. Being unfamiliar with the flower she inquired of the florist what it was. The answer was "It's a Ranunculus".
Never having seen a pink Buttercup before that prompted me to do some digging on the internet. It turns out they are Ranunculus asiaticus known as Persian Buttercups and they come in a variety of colours including white, blue and two coloured. It isn't obvious from this shot but it is a double and more like a Trollius flower than the common buttercup.
The shot is the result of more playing about with a reversed lens.
