Winter's Edge

Gales and rain on the doorstep, waders at the water's edge. I had just taken this shot when the knots fled in a tight panicky cloud - the (very fuzzy) extra shot shows why.
Sadly, I had to head back to the office while the drama continued, the local gulls doing their best to usher the visitor out of their territory...
