Tick City

The bracken is so pretty when it unravels. It does though seem to be an enduring habitat for the ubiquitous tick. Clifford loves nothing better than a romp in the bushes and a roll around after wading into the burn. The result is the inevitable rake of blood sucking varmints for as long as they manage to remain unnoticed.

I wish we didn't have the tick and for that matter the midge but I know my ecologist friends would give a very detailed balanced Eco system rationality for them so I guess I have to live with it.
