I was cleaning today and found this little half-frame from the end of a roll of slide film from about 5 years ago. I leaned it up against the candle to look at it and thought a bit about how different a thing film is from a file.
I'm not very process-oriented with respect to photos, so it's not a big deal to me - I use digital cameras because they're much easier, and the permanence and tangibility of film isn't really a big deal, but it is there.
Incidentally, I'm pretty sure the slide in the photograph and this photograph were taken with the same lens - which, also incidentally, is older than either me or Laura.
