Making Dinner
I prepared a pot of curry for dinner this evening. With my mom hailing from Singapore, curry was featured frequently at our dinner table and it ranks high on my list for "comfort food". Served atop a big mound of piping hot Jasmine rice, it makes for a very satisfying meal. For the sake of others joining me this evening, I kept the spice factor within tolerable limits.
After slicing the veggies, I noticed how peaceful the onion peelings and carrot bits appeared as they lay on the cutting board. Peelings seldom, if ever, get a moment in the spotlight, so I took the opportunity to feature them in today's blip.
