Love or hate?

Went out with the birdwatching group today and although we did see quite a few small birds most of our attention was taken up with these swans. At first I thought they were 'having some rumpy-pumpy' but I soon realised they were having a humdinger of a fight. I thought it was going to be a fight to the death. After about 20 mins they were exhausted but one of them managed to get away and scramble up the bank. Unfortunately the other one followed. By now they were out of my sight so I have no idea what happened next. I'd like to think it was a happy ending but somehow I doubt it!
