View from on high

As I anticipated when I posted my yesterblip, the weather is back to gales and torrential rain today. At least the storm shares its name with my grandmother: Gertrude!

So, rather than post a depressingly wet blip, I'm cheating and posting another from my yesterday's bus ride, which - from the upper deck - afforded super views of the coastline. I love it when you take a photo and then, looking at it on-screen, you discover a bonus bird is in shot. This gull must have had a similar view of Start Bay, the sunlit silvery sea and the distant headland of Start Point and its silhouetted lighthouse.
