One of the things I like about St Ives is that it's a working harbour and that makes it so much more vibrant than a marina full of yachts. After such a great day yesterday, Gertrude blew in and left us with a very dull day. Around midday was supposed to be the best part of the day but I couldn't detect very much difference.
After lunch I put on my wellies, headed down to the harbour and walked out on the sand among the boats that lie there when the tide's out. It's an environment I enjoy and on a day like today, the poor light is invigorated by the bright colours of the boats.
I'm not sure the weather's going to be up to much for the weekend but I hope it'll be good for you.
