Normal service resumed...

The power went off about 10am this morning, roughly the same time as the slates were rattling and the garden furniture became airborne.  The power was turned back on about 3.30.  It's been a worrying day.

My thoughts now go to friends in the islands where I've just heard the wind is gusting over 100 mph.  I think we had about 60 mph here and that was scary.  

The pic, uninspiring though it may be shows the cause of some of our time 'off line'.  Being in a rural area our supply comes from overhead cables, not very substantial ones and the gale driven flailing trees eventually bring the lines down.
