High Tide

In Shetland and Orkney there have been winds of 100mph. Here in Liverpool they were only 40 - 50 mph, but when combined with a high tide that can make for exciting waves. And so it proved. At New Brighton, the sea was up to the sea wall, and waves were hitting it and being propelled high into the air. It was impossible to predict which would rise up spectacularly, but luckily the wind ensured that the spray stayed mainly on the other side of the wall. Otherwise, I might be looking for a new camera.

(An extra shows the danger!)
