Salvaged from the Forth

The Fishery Protection Vessel Switha miscalculated her passage home to Leith docks in 1980, and ended up wrecked on a rock named Little Herwit in the Forth.

This brass porthole was 'salvaged' from the wreck a few months later by B's dad and the crew of his tug. After over 30 years hiding in a cupboard, it's polished up well and we're trying to figure out what to do with it! Blip seemed like a good start.

There's not much left of the wreck now, but the picture on the bottom left of this link show's her aground on Little Herwit. She's number 8 on the map and in the wee article.
