Erie sunset

Sitting on a large piece of driftwood with my toes just out of the reach of Lake Erie, I waited for the sun to set. The colors weren't as spectacular as some sunsets I've seen over the Lake, but the sky was beautiful, a stiff breeze was blowing, and the sound of the surf drowned out everything else. The heat wave had broken, and it was peaceful. When I woke up this morning, the temperature was 67 degrees, compared to the mid-90 degree-humidity of the past 10 days. What a relief! After the sun sank below the horizon, I headed back up the hill to join Bob and Gulliver who were patiently waiting for me.
