Wood From the Trees.....

What a lovely day it has been today (partly because I have the day off and partly because it is my birthday....!!)

Having spent the morning with Charlie at his new pre-school that he will start in September, I went for a quick brew with Stewart and then home and out for a walk in some nearby woods aver my camera. I felt a bit of a fraud walking in such a place without Daisy (black lab!) but having the camera made me look around a bit more and look at things in more detail!

They are lovely woods and are a part of one of my regular running routes, but after any rain, let alone the pro-longed downpours we have had recently, they can get v v muddy!

That said, they are beautiful and the greenness of the beach leaves is really enhanced by the light coming through the canopy (well I thought so anyway!).

Now I am just off to collect Hannah, then Charlie and then back to Hannah's school for my 5 mins with her teacher for her end of term/year assessment!!! I am sure she will have a glowing report waiting for us :-)
