He Had A Lot Of Memories To Share..
We went for a nice visit to Upton House with my Dad. It was very interesting as when WWII broke out, the owners Lord and Lady Bearsted moved to London to contribute to the war effort, while the family owned bank and its staff moved into Upton to live and work for the duration of the war. The main long gallery was set up as a bank for the clerks to continue with their duties.
There was a lot about the history of WWII and as Dad was living in London as a 7 year old boy in 1939 and he was one of the few kids not to be evacuated for the war, he had a lot of memories to share with Sushi.
