Our anniversary weekend arrived with the usual storm. Last night we battled up the A87 to Kintail, the hyperspace snow blizzard through Glen Shiel was an experience.

Today we went for a 13km run round Strath Croe followed by a walk to this broch (in the lower right of shot) on the west shore of Loch Duich. What a secret wee corner. As we walked through the larch and ash wood, we spotted an enormous White tailed sea eagle in the top of a pine; the description of flying bar door was quite accurate as it louped off down the loch on our approach.

Later we toured over to Glenelg, the road on the snow just about passable.

Extras of the eagle and a massive tree swing.
