Storm Aftermath

Yesterday evening was the most amazing thunder and lightning storm I have ever experienced and it seemed to take place directly overhead. Brilliant flashes of lightning followed immediately by incredibly loud thunder, all accompanied by buckets and buckets of rain. My wife and I were both impressed the lights never even flickered, but this morning we awoke to no power (and worse yet, no coffee). We know the drill in Zihuatanejo, here in Patzcuaro we were unsure exactly what to do. Our neighbor across the street told us she had called CFE and they were on their way to restore power. I expected a big boom truck and multiple repairmen, but in true Mexican fashion a single worker eventually showed up and took care of the three blown fuses at the top of the pole next to our house, entirely from the ground - no boom truck, nor even ladder, necessary.
