Moorings Union Canal.
Still in Edinburgh with a day of DIY planned before we head back to Cumbria. Before settling down to the work I had a quick stroll up to the canal beside Harrison Park. The snow that had fallen was very light but there were still excited groups of children with their parents and sledges heading out.
This shot is the moorings beside the park and Polwath Church in the back ground. A view I have probably blipped before but the snow adds a little difference/interest to the shot.
Having got the DIY out of the way we headed south and managed to avoid running into an accident on a sudden change of surface from clear road to covered in snow. There were a number of vehicles envolved but fortunately the emergency services were on the scene and nobody seemed hurt.
