Altrincham Market
There is only one word for today's weather - ugly. Heavily overcast and heavy drizzle.
So it has been a day of doing things indoors. In the interest of research we visited Altrincham Market, which I have heard good things about. It's good. And clearly very popular - the old market hall, adjacent to the under cover market area, was absolutely full. A good place for cups of tea and cakes, and much more, but no chance of a seat at the wooden tables (not that we were going to do that - we had to move on to Cheadle Royal).
Our purchases at the Market. A loaf of bread from Liverpool, some bacon from the Lythe Valley in Cumbria, and some really unusual pop up cards made in Hanoi, Vietnam (the stall-holder has just returned from there, a holiday and meeting his supplier).
