Safe up here?

Out for a walk on this grey damp afternoon, we came across a very noisy, bouncy dog which was running loose. Shortly after he was recaptured by his owner we spotted this cat about 20 feet up a tree by the side of the lane. We can't think the two incidents are unconnected.
