Treecreeper

I went to Wood Lane Nature Reserve this afternoon. I met a friend leaving as I was arriving and it was good to have a chat with her and hear what she'd been up to.

Amongst other birds I saw this beautiful little treecreeper searching for insects in the bark. I also saw long-tailed tits, goldfinches, shellduck and a large number of lapwings. They went up into the air and swirled around the sky in beautiful patterns then a hawk shot under them and flew off at terrific speed. It looked as though their tactic of confusion had worked!
