Sunday: Batteries Recharged

Metaphorically and literally.  Metaphorically in the sense that this has been a really nice weekend getaway and has proved very relaxing.  Literally in the sense that a certain Booky left the interior lights on in the car and it was as dead as a doornail this morning when we went to put the luggage in this morning (to the extent that the central locking wouldn't even work).

We called our apartment host who was incredibly helpful.  Apparently in Budapest you can call a taxi who will come and jump start you, all for the very reasonable sum of HUF 3,000 (about £7).  Just so you know.  At least we had a decent view while we waited for the taxi so i used the time wisely to get my blip.

The only alteration to our plans was that we then didn't go for a final stroll before we left as we needed to keep the car running.

And I can't believe how many wonderful people we have lost this January!  Sir Terry Wogan - I was lucky enough to meet him at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 - he was as kind and charming as you would expect, and even gave me and my friends a mention in his live broadcast.  A real loss.
