Dutch Interior

...in the middle of the Alentejo. The blue tiles halfway up the wall are so Portuguese, and yet, for me, adds to the Dutch feel of this house, even though they're not properly unpacked yet, as you can tell by the cardboard box on the right. I found the tulips wilting on their own in a supermarket in the big town yesterday.

Lovely, relaxing Sunday - with a lie-in, a walk down to the river, and then the church service up in the town, with a visiting speaker from Lisbon talking about climate change and natural disasters - he's apparently one of Portugal's best meteorologists.
