Reading

He picked the book at random. As he read the first few pages, he realised that he was reading about his own birth. He skipped forward and read an account of a holiday that he had taken as a teenager. His most private thoughts had been recorded and printed. After a few moments' thought, he turned to the end of the book and read the last page.
