Abstracts

No prizes for guessing what this is as it would be pretty hard to tell. This is from a series of super-macro abstract shots I took of a placemat that has mother of pearl shells inlaid in a magenta plastic coating. It was difficult to choose which was the best one as they each have their own allure. The manual focussing was so tight that when I walked on the carpet near to the tripod the shots would go in and out of focus so I quickly reverted to a remote shutter device.
