Dismal Day 5

At least now it seems to refer to the weather only.

Daughter much brighter and off to visit her friend in Glasgow. Hubby feeling better too.

Unfortunately the weather continues to cause concern. Woke up this morning with the road starting to flood. AGAIN! The kids have been sent home from school. AGAIN! (3rd time in two weeks). The river has receded a little but there is another 24 hours or so to worry about.

At least we got a laugh at the Council's pathetic attempt to stop the road from flooding. (The water can get as high as the fence.) Well, it would be funny if we didn't have to put our faith in their plans for long term flood prevention / protection.
