View from the campsite..
Ah, those long warm summer evenings, watching the sun slowly set just over the end of Handa Island, glowing orange skies, and the smell of barbeques slowly cooking the evening meal, and the pop of opening wine bottles. Not today I'm afraid.. Storm Gertrude has passed through, only to be replaced by Storm Henry. It was strong all through the night, and continuing through the day. The winds will get worse through to midnight, and then start to ease..
Went down the croft earlier and dug a new ditch, a continuation of the one by the new polytunnel. That was quite fun as there was a large amount of water held back. Ha, boys and dams and streams.. Happy memories of damming up streams 50 years ago!
Then down the hall, and painted the bar units with undercoat..
G's going down later to do aerobics, hope the smell isn't too strong. I did turn the heaters on for them..
Extra shot is from the harbour looking back up to the croft. If you look closely, you can make out where we planted the raspberries, it's just above that dark square patch with the square of green in it..
