Shells from the laboratory

Another of mum's treasures-to be discarded or something??

These shells belong to my brother's collection. He had a room in our basement which he called his laboratory and he catalogued many natural history exhibits there.

I still have a couple of Porcupine quills but the Armadillo disappeared somewhere along the line together with the butterfly collection!

Mum preserved them long after he moved away when he was 18 and so they are still amongst her belongings awaiting a decision.

I whisked another car load to the charity shop this morning in between showers and am now preparing to sleep at the back of the house since storm Henry still seems intent on blowing at 60mph!
