Two and a half men

I've photographed these stocks on Berkswell village green before, but they always make me smile. If you look carefully, you will see there are five leg holes in the stocks. The local history museum says they were built specifically to house three men who were persistently found 'drunk and disorderly' in the village. Nothing unusual there, you might think... but one of those men only had one leg!
