Christmas Box

Sarcococca confusa, also known as sweet box.

This little shrub always flowers in December (hence Christmas box) but this year was very late and is only flowering now.

Confusa indeed.

We bring it into the conservatory when in flower and the creamy-white flowers have a sweet scent, almost overpowering at times.

These are last years berries, with the actual flowers shown in the Extra.
