Dickens Challenge: Oliver Twist (DOT3)

Yes, Jack and I love books in our house and this is only one wall that is covered with shelves containing books, some CDs and DVDs. Never very tidy but well used! He prefers books on his favorite topics of jazz, film and art whereas I concentrate on fiction. I haven't taken part in any Challenges before but this Dickens one fascinates me so here goes!  Thank you to the hosts who thought up this interesting idea..
