The view from the other side!

Last week I blipped  this view of the short cut on to the high street. Well this week it is the front of the building on show. It houses Stokes High Bridge Café and opened for business in 1937.
     
I first visited it in 1971 when I got married and moved to the Lincoln area. It was one of the few places at that time that served really good coffee. Their coffee is now available in several other restaurant / café places, which I tend to use, as the Bridge café is always very busy.
 
We were in town to go to the pictures, yes again!! This time to see the Intern with Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. The critics rubbished it, but we enjoyed it and judging from the chat as we were leaving, so did most of the considerable number of other viewers.
