Happy news!

My husband began his morning routine, as he usually does, with breakfast and a quick scroll through news and messages on his phone.
He suddenly exclaimed in delight that he was now an uncle again since his brother's girlfriend, Þórunn Gréta, had given birth to a little girl in Reykjavík the day before.  Then he read me the words of his mother's message, which she had sent late last night so we would know first thing this morning when we woke up.
The baby was born 4 weeks early, since she was expected to be a "Leapling" with a birthday on the 29th of February.  But she and the new mother are doing great and can hopefully leave the hospital in a few days.

And since words is the topic today, I can't resist sharing this incredible but true and hilarious story which happened here in Iceland.  It is VERY important to spell words correctly!
