Old and New Landmarks

At first glance you will see the headquarter tower of Robeco - a renowned investment firm - but I specially like the detail of the old Schielandhuis gracefully reflecting thanks to the gorgeous low sunlight in the mirror windows of the sky scraper.

The Schielandhuis is the one and only building of the 17th century that has survived the WW2 bombardment of the Rotterdam Center, it's built between 1662 and 1665. It's currently a museum and I intend to feature it pretty soon, so be patient.

The Knight in the statue in the foreground is Count Willem IV who granted Rotterdam it's City Rights on june 7th 1340, he was honored with this sculpture in 1990.
