More than 15 minutes of fame

I don't think I had ever noticed this board before today.

It stands in the Canongate Kirkyard on Edinburgh's Royal Mile and was erected by the Council at the end of the 19th century.

It lists some of the "celebrities" buried here and so was therefore an early tourist guide to those who had gained , or earned, a bit more attention than Warhol's much vaunted "15 minutes of fame".

I liked the information and I liked the shot through the railings . And I liked the tower on Calton Hill in the background.
