Staging a Protest

The snowstorm arrived as promised but the winds weren't bad at all, so no blizzard for us!  We awoke to a total of 12.5 inches (31.75 cm) this morning and the snow stopped well before noon.  Pipersdad and I spent an hour and a half shoveling the walkway, driveway and sidewalk while Piper watched out the window.  She was dying to be out with us but we don't let her in the front yard without being on a chain and it was under all the snow.  After that was done, we set to work on the deck but Piper didn't want her snow removed and she wouldn't get out of the way while PD was trying to shovel.  She loves to nest into it and lie down.  So he worked around her and left her in her snowy spot in the middle of the deck.  Later on, her friend Penny came over for a play date and they had a ball chasing each other and rolling around in the powdery snow in our big back yard.  :-)

I'm still behind on journals (and a lot of other things).  I really hope to get caught up with everyone soon!
