8:30pm and waiting for an evening wedding reception to start.

It's been a packed weekend. The set-up, singing and sweeping-out have been done. It's time to unwind.

To be part of someone's wedding ceremony is a real privilege. To do so from behind a drum kit is even better. Was great to lift the music and song and help people lift their voices too.

And now, the seas are calm. The air summer-cool and a chance to chat with friends and perhaps a couple of dances with Mrs theWeir too. As long as sleep-deprivation doesn't get the better of her.

Life lived from a secure place is a blessed life indeed.
