Ironage Fort

At the east end of Lamberts Castle is the site of the Fort that used to be here. The picture shows the entrance and the remains of the defensive ditch and bank,  the fort was sited on the flat area and the woods you can see beyond the entrance

The old dead tree in the defensive ditch looks as if its ready to get blown over
