Deconstruction for reconstruction

My leather hat is progressing well, and I had an idea I could try and make a contrasting leather trim for the top. ( have swapped to listening to classic fm on the commute - far more creatively stimulation than radio 2) So lunchtime today saw me scouting the charity shops for handbags with lots of useable 'fabric'.... I have no idea if my idea will work, but I thought it worth risking 1.99.
