Déjà vu
We woke to a layer of snow this morning, so it was icy and slushy underfoot and not really conducive to the survey we had planned a couple of valleys away. I ended up squeezing in a bird survey at our local rec this afternoon, and although there wasn't a lot around, I recorded 2 new species for this site - a Kestrel whizzed over and a Pheasant. scuttled off There were a couple of Mistle Thrush too but they were skulking in the treetop. I got a couple of shots of one of the benches which have lots of mosses, lichens and fungi on them. I seem to remember I blipped it last time I did a survey there.
