Morning flight

Lucky Mum, she started the day with a flight over the farm - and neighbouring farms, with my father in law.  Sensibly, breakfast waiting until after the flight.

We went to the Natural History Museum today, the animals in displays there come to life that little bit more having spent the last week seeing a wide variety of wildlife.  The snakes (live) are just as sinister as last time Dirk and I went, and dinner, in the shape of a lizard, was hopping around a couple of the boxes in a desperate attempt to get out.  One of the glass fronted cases had a wooden box in it, with a sign on the case saying that the occupant was new.  The box had written on it, in black marker 'black mamba' - that's not a box you would ever, ever want to come across.

I did what you should never do, and took Mum and Dad to an un-tried restaurant for lunch.  As a good omen, we bumped into friends as we arrived and thankfully, lunch was up to scratch, in fact, one of the best I've had since arriving.  Sometimes, you take a gamble and it works!
