Plumbing Repair

The cylinder at the top of the picture normally holds a bundle of water filled copper pipes that are surrounded by steam to heat the water.  The whole thing is called a "heat exchanger" .  (Cool name, huh?)
Anyway, the copper tubes developed holes and the water leaked into the steam pipes.  Although steam is a form of water, it is not good to have actual liquid in the steam pipes.
So we had to take it apart and order a new tube bundle; in the meantime there are some people who are not getting the hot water they have come to enjoy.
