Winter Sunrise

Just before Sunrise at Grand Canyon. The temperature was minus two degrees. Standing out there for about an hour made the fingers and toes tingle. Fortunately I had stayed at the historic El Tovar hotel which is located right on the South Rim. It was only a short walk to the edge. My car was parked in a lot only 25 steps from this spot.

I was very happy to make use of the hair dryer for a re-warming of the boots, socks, and toes.

I departed about 8:30 and was home in Tucson by 2:30 to reload gasoline and wash the car. In all, I went home with 178 photos from three cameras. The iPhone did a great job.
