Bush Walk

This morning, Hilary and I took a walk through the thick bush along a partly over grown track in places, to a billabong at least one & half kilometres from the house. We were again accompanied by the Jack Russell and one of the cats. It was a most enjoyable walk, and we added some lovely birds to our list:- Golden Whistler, Double-barred Finch, Grey Fantail and Yellow Thornbill. On reaching the water, the dog decided it was time to cool of and lay in the water on the edge of the billabong.
The return walk home was slow as the cat felt he had had enough, and right at the end he was carried for a bit. It was not long at home before he was fully recovered.
