Gone

A very rare blip today - IntotheHills the wrong side of the lens.
I wanted to record a couple of things;

How much the snow has gone - this little lateral gully was banked full of snow last week - we had to abseil into it and were able to dig snowholes here. On the distant hill we had five foot of snow - now you can see the heather sticking through.

Again this photo hasn't got any effects applied - it really was a black and white world out on the hill today.

With this little snow and it forecast to get warmer over the weekend it seems as if Cairngorm trip #2 is a washout - this odd winter has affected even the far North. Hopefully normal service will soon be resumed.
