Bamforth's - the Hollywood of Yorkshire...

...for Derelict Sunday this week.
Bamforth's in Holmfirth is best known for the saucy seaside postcards it produced - but see the link for the films it also created...way ahead of its time.
As I stood there with my camera, an old guy stopped and said "it should have been here, not Hollywood" and went on to describe to us where the draughtsmen and artists worked, next door in the upper rooms where all the windows show. This section is now apartments.
The rest of the site is being cleared, but the façade has to be kept as it is listed, he said. He feared that it would take some time for anything positive to be done...
Here's a link if you're interested.
For now only the pigeons have possession of the derelict carcass - despite the blue plaque near the red safety warning on the door.
