Gnarled

This tree always attracts me. It stands more or less alone, and going uphill it is very conspicuous. Coming downhill, you would hardly notice it because there are more trees further behind it. I thought the branches looked good against the blue sky when I enlarged it.

Sunny but cold first thing, about 18°F.
